HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) recently held its annual alcThe conference also served as a networking opportunity for professionals from across Pennsylvania, allowing them to share experiences and successful strategies from their communities. Exhibitors were present throughout the event, providing information on various programs and services relevant to attendees. Participation in the annual alcohol education conference was free of charge for all attendees.ohol education conference, gathering around 150 professionals, counselors, law enforcement officers, business leaders, community advocates, and educators dedicated to reducing underage drinking and promoting responsible consumption among legal-age adults.

Attendees learned from experts in alcohol education about a variety of topics, including the role of alcohol in the tragic hazing death of Timothy Piazza, discussed by one of the case’s lead investigators. Other presentations covered effective prevention techniques, liquor laws and enforcement best practices, the mixing of alcohol and THC among youth, and approaches to treating older adults with substance use disorders.
